Silicon Nitride Ceramic Balls are the most commonly used balls in the ceramic sector due to their generally very high wear and abrasion resistance. Silicon nitride balls are ideally suited for use in high-precision bearings, aerospace, medicine, machine tools, measuring instruments, radars, missiles, pumps, valves and compressors.

These Si3N4 ceramic balls are made of the high-quality ceramic - Silicon Nitride. Balls made of this material have a comparatively high density. Si3N4 balls also has a relatively low degree of elasticity and exceptionally low thermal conductivity. Furthermore, precision balls made of silicon nitride have a very high abrasion resistance, so they are subject to low wear, are anti-magnetic and electrically insulating.

The use of these Silicon nitride (Si3N4) balls is also possible at very high temperatures (functionality up to approx. 1,050 degrees Celsius), whereby the thermal expansion is very low. These ceramic balls also have a high thermal shock resistance and resistance to most acids. Another advantage of these silicon nitride (Si3N4) ball is their 60% lower weight than steel balls. For ceramic balls used as bearing balls, lubrication is not required.
