Project Content

Plan the configuration of electric furnaces and other equipment according to your company's planned production scale and product types.

It is recommended that your company configure one power transformer 350KVA (specially used for 2 tons of electric melting furnace, other production equipment is not included), and one 150KW generator set (use for power failure and heat preservation).

Design Plan:

This furnace is an all-electric furnace specially designed for melting tube glass. The melting method is 24 hours continuous melting and continuous discharging. The electric melting furnace mainly includes five parts: the main body of the electric furnace, the steel structure, the molybdenum electrode heating body and the temperature measuring element, the power distribution system, and the circulating water.


A. Furnace Structure

The octagonal structure of the melting cell, the electrode layer of the cell wall is lined with high-quality No. 41 non-shrinkage fused zirconium corundum brick, and the other parts are 33 # non-shrinkage zirconium corundum brick. The flow hole adopts up-tilt type to prolong the service life. Clay bricks plus insulation bricks and various insulation materials are used outside the furnace body to strengthen the insulation of the electric furnace and reduce energy consumption.


B. Steel Structure

The steel structure of the furnace is divided into a load-bearing part and a reinforcement part, and its main function is to support the entire furnace.


C. Configuration of Molybdenum Electrode Heating Body and Temperature Measuring Element

The glass liquid adopts the structure method of flat-inserted electrode molybdenum rods. The material space is electrically heated by silicon carbon rods; the temperature measurement part adopts thermocouples to measure the temperature.


D. Electrical System and Control System

For all-electric glass melting furnaces, all the heat for melting glass comes from electrical energy. The electrical system of this design scheme is a mature all-electric furnace melting and heat preservation power distribution and control system. The system runs safely and reliably with high control accuracy. It is equipped with special transformers and control systems specially designed and manufactured for glass electric melting. Real-time monitoring and adjustment of electric melting furnace.


Circulating Water System

The electric furnace cooling water system plays a decisive role in the entire operation of the furnace. The cooling system extends the service life of the furnace and its accessories. The system mainly includes water softening equipment, cooling towers, high-level emergency water tanks, storage tanks, pipeline pumps, circulation pipelines, water flow monitoring, etc. Your company can install high-level emergency water tank according to the actual situation of the plant.

Conditions required by the buyer:

1. The workshop to meet the needs of electric furnaces.

2. Build high-voltage power distribution, low-voltage power distribution cabinet, power transformer KVA (specially used for 2 tons of electric melting furnace, other equipment power is not included), reserve a 150KW generator (power failure insulation).

3. Tap water or self-provided water source should be supplied 24 hours, water pressure is greater than 0.2Mpa, intermittent use.

4. According to the technical requirements of the supplier, make the electric furnace foundation, pre-embedded pipe fittings and storage tank.

5. Equipped with workers who need to have a higher level of electrician. Several persons on duty in the electric furnace participate in the whole process of the electric construction, installation and commissioning of the electric furnace, so that they can master the operation of the electric furnace and deal with general failures.

6. Embed various pipelines according to the requirements of process layout design and be responsible for threading to the designated location.

7. Prepare temporary water and electricity for equipment installation before entering the site, and provide necessary sites, warehouses, oxygen, acetylene, low-value consumables, and simple driving, forklift and other handling equipment for electric furnace installation.

8. Provide energy, broken glass and other raw materials during the debugging of the baking kiln.

9. Responsible for the room and board of the on-site installation and commissioning personnel of the supplier.

10. Responsible for the transportation cost of engineering equipment materials and unloading, acceptance and storage after arriving at the factory.

11. Pay for the project according to the time agreed in the contract.


Services to be provided by the supplier:

1. The overall design of the process layout is carried out according to the existing production workshop of the customized party.

2. Provide the basic technical requirements diagram of the electric furnace.

3. Responsible for the overall design of the electric furnace.

4. Responsible for the installation of electric furnaces including furnace building, electrical installation, on-site assembly of steel structures, and installation of circulating water.

5. Responsible for debugging the electric furnace to normal discharge.

6. Provide the operating instructions of the electric furnace (including schematic diagrams and operating procedures).

7. Technical training: Conduct technical operation training for the on-demand electric furnace personnel on demand. The training personnel are required to have a high level of electrician skills. The training method uses on-site training and drawings to explain until they can operate independently.
